\u00a0I&#8217;m\u00a0Peter Hollander, an independent hardware and software developer working on virtual reality products and content. \u00a0This is going to be a place where I share with the community our progress and development of <span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><a style=\"color: #00ccff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/talariavr.com\/\">Talaria brand hardware<\/a><\/span> and software.\u00a0 I hope to use this blog as an open documentation of our work, as well as a strong connection with the passionate community that surrounds the VR medium. \u00a0I&#8217;m looking forward to sharing our development with the world!<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18pt;\"><strong>SteamVR Tracking License<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">This week I&#8217;ll be heading over to Seattle to receive Valve\/Synapse&#8217;s SteamVR Tracking license (hooray!).\u00a0 What that entails is that following the training, I will be licensed to take or create any physical object in the real-world, and motion capture it to be positionally tracked using Valve\u2019s <span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\">Lighthouse<\/span> SteamVR Tracking system.\u00a0 This opens up a HUGE door of <span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><a style=\"color: #00ccff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/community.viveport.com\/t5\/Design-a-Vive-accessory-Closed\/con-p\/contest_1\">possibilities<\/a><\/span>, primarily considering the ability to create custom tracked objects for virtual reality.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">So over the following week I plan to document my experience with the training itself, sharing as much content as I can.\u00a0 And looking forward, I also intend to post my exploration and development with the SteamVR Tracking technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Please don\u2019t hesitate to reach out to me here on the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #00ccff;\"><a style=\"color: #00ccff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.talariavr.com\/blog\/steamvr-tracking-license\/#respond\">blog<\/a><\/span> or in an email to\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\"><a style=\"color: #00ccff; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"mailto:blog@talariavr.com\">blog@talariavr.com<\/a><\/span><\/span> with any questions, comments, or chit-chat!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blog Welcome to the Talaria VR development blog!
